White flecks on the wing point to GBH along with the moustachial streaking

I am still a long way away from being a birder.

Still. I am learning too and that darn bird is still giving trouble.

If I look at your explanation I agree with you completely, but if I look at the eye and the area around it I am still not 100% sure. :hmz:

Ye it takes a bit o time n then when you see a particular type of bird you recognize them straight away.
Have a look @ the Bittern eye. Its a black orb, where as the GBH has a yellow eye with black pupil.
The streaks on the face of your bird also gives it away
