 Post subject: THLOPI IN THE SUMMER?

We are planning to visit Marakele (Thlopi tented camp) in early December. Worried about the heat with 3 small children in our group (2,3, and 5 years) and I assume no swimming pool and no airconditioning in the tents... Any comments by previous visitors in the summer?

Hi family Man welcome to the forums :D

We visited Marekele beginning Oct - 42 degrees and no air-con in tents - they do have fans :thumbs_up:

TR = "Marekele - A quick visit turned into a little Gem"

There has been a fire in the Park, but it could be recovering already.

One tip to keep cool that I use is, I always take a light sarong with, then run it under the tap and sleep with it over me, the fan causes evaporation and some relief from the heat..
