Stunning moon rise shots Netek. Your daughter is right, it is the same Trrp-trrrrr that comes visiting every year. That elephant on the hill is very special
Greasy Limpopo? From the grease that comes from the Mopani worm dishes I presume
Once had dried Mopani-that was it-for life! Tasteless, like eating ashes. Never again. Spoil Sheba :rtm:

Thanks Noel. I have tasted Mopani made by various people and the cook makes or breaks the meal.

@ saraf I can just see the Guys at Heathrow Customs's eye when you tell them

"No sir these worms are for lunch not to feed the bird"

 If I can get biltong through...

Seriously though, I was watching a program the other day and it seems worms and insects are set to be the main source of protein during the next 20 years. We are running out of grazing land for animals for meat to meet the growing demand. If we want to keep out forests and wild areas and not turn them over to grazing we need to start looking for alternative sources of protein.

I think Mopani allready is up in Limpopo. It's was the funnies sight. I had to drive to Muzina the Sunday before Chrismas to do some shopping and every 10 km or so there was a car standing next to the road with all the occupants (young old the whole lot) "picking" Mopani worms with bags & buckets next to the road.

I first thought they had car trouble and stopped to ask if I can help and was given a shy smile "NO we are collecting worms"
I don't know who was more suprised myself or the old gentleman that this white lady driving GP number plates immediatly know what they meant.

Divhani --- I think your joined date and amout of posts are broken. With so many Horns and Guru status you can't only have 6 post and joined 11 jan 2013

Hey NetEk,

There is nothing amiss about the number of posts and the day i joined in.

I just assume the status was bestowed on me for the mere reason that I am the new person dealing with Communications in the Northern Region.

Divhani
