Our itinerary for next month's trip to South Africa includes a 3 night stop at Storms River Mouth. For the sake of having some flexibility, we will only be attempting to make a booking 2 nights prior to arriving and are therefore aware that the chances of finding any vacant accommodation are pretty slim even though it won't be a weekend.
We're wondering if it would be worth staying at Storms River Village and then driving to Tsitsikamma National Park in case we can't find accommodation at SRM. Is this a sensible thing to do or should we just skip Tsitsikamma entirely if no accommodation is available at SRM?

Whatever you do, do not skip Stormsrivermouth. It is the most beautifull place on earth. Even a mere 4 hours is worth it, as it is not to far off the main (N2) route. There are plenty options to stay over in the vicinity. Take the time and drive down to the restaurant and then hike to the suspention bridge (2 hour round about at leisure). It is a once in a lifetime experience!. I do hope you find accommodation, even if only for one night. Would love to read about your experience. Greetings
