not 100 percent sure-6 or 8 I think-but will get confirmation. Will be great to wake up in the forest-and so cool for birding too :D

I camped there last thursday.

Made use of the SANP issued tent which is really an awesome tent. I think there were 10 platforms. Very nicely laid out and very spacious too. Each platform has a build in braai and a roof-covered bar counter.

I will try to post pics on friday.

All I can say at this point in time is that it is really worthwhile to go check it out.

Heard NT calling from close quarters. The bird sounds @ 4:30 am is something undescribable. Didn't see many birds but could easily identify the following list on call: NT, Knysna Turaco, White-starred Robin, Choirester Robin, Cape Batis, Paradise Flycatcher(seen), Wood Owl, Square-tailed Drongo(seen), Greenbul and an array of sunbirds.

Also managed to see 3 African Crowned Eagles, African Goshawk and Forest Buzzard.

Cell reception only at the ablution blocks.

The Genets were very active and I had the awesome opportunity to photograph one where it was standing a mere meter away from me on the wooden deck.

There is a bit of a strenuous walking path that leads in front of deck nr.3. Nr.3 in my mind looks to be one of the top 3 decks. the other being nr.10 on quick inspection.

The road leading there is not too bad but there is some reckless driving by the local wood cutters. Other places of interest is the picnic spot, fern forest and big tree.

There are plenty of mountain-biking routes in close proximity.

Just a friendly warning: Don't park on the grass slope at the entrance to the boardwalk to deck nr.3.
