Reintroduction to this wonderful park is really good news, well done and thanks.
I participate because I care - CUSTOS NATURAE
No to Hotels in and commercialization of our National Parks.
No to Legalized Rhino and Lion trade.
Done 144 visits to National Parks.
What a wonderful privilege.

And the befriending among the lions themselves seems to
have worked quickly as well, judging by the pic. 8)

If you check the report -- one lioness from Karoo (I suppose one on the young females), and 2 males from Welgevonden nature reserve (if I remember correctly, that borders on Marakele near Thabazimbe) -- hopefully they are also "disease free" like the Kgalagadi lions....

Slowly but surely there are more wild lion watching opportunities for us in the Cape!

Yes, the three "disease free" lion spent their first night of freedom in Mountain Zebra last night. All is well.

Pleasantly surprised that the cheetah tracking will continue as I feared they would have stopped doing that.
