I'm off to camp at Langkloof for a few days. My reservation doesn't show which campsite I have assigned to me. I find 2-4 campsites on the Internet. I am also finding conflicting info on what facilities are (or not :-) ) there. can anyone assist me with info? :?

Hi Jimbo
I camped at Langkloof earlier this year. It was an extraordinary experience - it's almost as good as camping in one of the unfenced camps in Kgalagadi for the absolute solitude ( without the lion adrenaline rush).
You've probably worked it out by now, but to confirm, there are just two campsites, each with a very comfy toilet/bathroom and kitchen. Only problem is, for some peculiar reason SANPs put the two campsites right on top of each other. So if you're trying to get away from humanity, I recommend that you book both camp sites to keep it all to yourself. This also applies to Perdekloof campsite.
Enjoy the peace....and the night sky is unbelievable!

We have camped there three times in the past year and it is magic !!!! Book both sites and you have the whole place to yourself. Hot showers, flush toilets and running water. Enjoy. You might even see a leopard. (We were lucky to see one at three in the morning.)

Hi Tankwa lovers,
We're off to Langkloof campsite at the end of thisweek after an absence of 3 years...long overdue. Has anybody been there recently? Any unusual bird/mammal sightings? And in what condition is the Langkloof road?
Thanks.
