Bontebok National Park has three walking trails which start at the rest camp or at the “start of trails” located on the Western Route: The Aloe walk: 3.3km long which passes along the river. The Acacia walk: heads West from the camp through the bush and is 1.6km long Bushbuck trail: The trails leads you to Die Stroom picnic area and is 5.5km there and back.
The Bushbuck Trail is the most popular one because it is an easy walk of a moderate distance. There are also intresting animal and plantlife along the way. lAll three of th eabove hiking trails are near the rest camp and near the Breede River.
Then we also have another Walking trail on the Eastern side of the park and is not ner the river but forms part of a Mountain biking trail.
Blue Crane Trail: Found at the beginning of the mountain biking route on the Eastern drive and is 3.2km long.
