I see all the red stop signs have been replaced by green stop signs in WCNP. Isn't this a bit confusing, green is normally associated with "go". Doesthis mean I don't have to stop? Or has the "greens" taken over the roads? Maybe the ostriches did not like the red signs? Anybody have any idea why? Is it happening at other SANParks as well?

I also noticed this Bokmakierie...the green ones don't stick out like a sore thumb like the red ones do...maybe that is why they are being changed.

When I was young (about 100 years ago) we learnt that "green means Go, yellow means Slow and red means Stop".

Red is used to get attention, green blends in, is not recognised and could cause accidents. I wonder if it would stand up in court if you were nobbled for not stopping at a green stop sign. I doubt it.

Speeding is bad enough in WCNP without now making the very few stop signs there invisible

I love WCNP, but the speeding by the many who have NO interest in the park's flora and fauna really gets me angry :sniper: :sniper:

HI ALL,

I can't agree more! What is it with the green signs? It would be appreciated if somebody from WCNP could give some kind of feedback on this issu.

I regularly travel this road, and although there is a "speeding fine camera" sign placed, just as you entered the Langebaan gate, it still does'nt have the desired effect on 'regular' traffic offenders.

WCNP please advise. We reaching 2010. It is a big 'thingy' for South Africa..... Say no more!

Maybe Westcoaster or other regulars like ph87gb, AndreB or anyone ... who could give us feedback in this regard would be highly appreciated.

As far as I know STOP SIGNS - GLOBALLY are RED!! :rtm:

We are told every day that we must think "green", now when somebody in charge makes some pocket money for doing what he was told, you all end up in arms!
