25th October 2013.
Here are Elena and her family. We had seen them the day before and they were still around next morning and on the lookout for breakfast, just before Leeuwdril waterhole. Although these cats are lovely when they are just lying down we like to watch them when they are eyeing up prey. The slinking down and peaking over bushes.
As we were on our way north we didn't stay long enough to see if they managed to catch their meal.

They caught their meal on 25 October. When I arrived at Twee Rivieren in the late afternoon, Kgalagadi Guru told me about cheetahs who made a kill near Leeudril. It was too late for me to go for a drive but I saw them the following morning. Elena made another kill (springbok) on 26 October. :)

Hi roelfA,
great picture. Usually the cheethas with collars usually have names. Any idea what this ones name is? Looks like a fairly young cheetah to me, so it has probably only recently been collared. Would be interesting to find out more.

you are right wildc  ... but since Margie and Gus Mills left, no Cheetah was collared... :hmz:
or maybe again a person takes care of them :D
