Nice choices, Blackie. At this rate we could probably get to 1000, never mind 10 or 100!

The sky so blue and decorated with white clouds.
The variety of cat you actually get to see.
The close up encounters with animals you dont often see in other parks.
The bird life.
The red dunes.
The endless vistas.
The friendly people.
The heat.
The best home made bread at Mata Mata.
The quiet.

The red sand in my toes.
The vastness.
The peace.
The quiet.
The unspoiled beauty.
The clear sounds of nature.
The people who are just like us.
The animals and birds.
The trees.
The dunes.
The waterholes.
The riverbeds.

I'll always return, have always and will always, I yearn for it the moment I leave and return to the city.

Have to smile at this topic. :)

I got convinced to go to Kgalagadi for the first time last year - in December. I remember refusing to book for more than 6 nights, because I was 100% sure I would hate every second.

Yeah right....

We'll be booking a 4x4 camping trip with a couple of luxury Wilderness camp nights inbetween as soon as bookings open for December 2014. Rooiputs, Polentswa, Nossob and Gharagab or Grootkolk the new ones, Kieliekrankie and Twee Rivieren the "old" favorites.

I can add one reason why I fell in love with KTP. After being surrounded by a concrete jungle, like you only find in big cities, for more than a year, the vast emptiness of Kgalagadi is food for the soul. Besides going from minus something temperatures and snow to 40 plus temperatures and virtually no humidity in summer. What is there not to love about KTP? 8)

The corrugated sand roads
The lack of tour buses
The vastness
The camps
The atmosphere
The people who work there
The people who visit there
Usually very dedicated folk to this special place
The sun sets
The sun rises
The whole place... its a very unique place
Lets keep it that way
