Hi there Ice,

This is also a question I raised some years back during a very dry season . . . with numerous
sun-powered pumps having given some problems at the time . . . leaving big numbers of animals
hanging arround dry waterholes next to the major roads in the park.

I was then referred to a site map of all waterholes in the KTP . . . which was on a sort of a notice board
on the left, at the entrance of the picnic spot at Kamqua . . . . . it was already much faded at the time
and, being under perspex . . . just about impossible to photograph as well.

I can however assure you that I was amazed to see the large number of waterholes on the map . . .
being the ones beyond the furthest dunes.

Maybe this is a good question for Kalahari Guru as well . . . .

I am sure there are others not on the tourist roads.

The Nossob 4x4 ecotrail overnights at one and AFAIR passes another.
