Hey click click, I have often sat in the Nossob hide and just seen the jackals and barn owl, but one night we also had it all. Quite a few different lions, AWC, brown & spotted hyena, bat eared & Cape fox and of course the jackals.

@ click click: Welcome to this thread and especially for posting all those great animal sightings you had at the Nossob hide! I have learnt at least one importand lesson from you and that is NOT to leave the hide if there is not much apparant activity!

@ BUSH BABTIST: Did you take those nice photos during your latest visit to KTP? Thank you for sharing. FMJ

Hi there,
Just returned from KTP and needless to say we had a wonderful time.
Thought I'd share this with you.
At Kamqua picnic spot we saw a female spotted Hyena with 2 youngsters. They were leaving the picnic just as we arrived and settled under a tree not far off where the cubs had a suckle.
A few days later, late afternoon, again at the same picnic area we saw one of the cubs scavinging for possible leftovers. He found a spot in the sand, where someone had emptied something, a fatty substance of sorts.

We've noticed that most people are responsible and take their waste with them (except for those who use the braai to deposit their waste). But in this instance, emptying a pot of liquid on the sand was not so smart.

(Anne-marie, hope you are well, remember Kamqua was where my son (hopefully)fixed your rented fridge. By the way we were in the same unit as u were at Urikaruus, and we also saw a leopard but unable to id).

Great photos of that hyena right in the Kamqua picnic area Tony T and they are probably from that "just" north of Kamqua den thst we saw in January of this year. There were at least 12 of them if not more. Thank you everyone else for your contrabutions and wonderful comments.
