@ Myles: These are great sightings and of course, your photos are even greater!. Especially because it happened at MM. Thank you for posting!

@ WanderW: Indeed at the very same sighting where we were as well, that you have 'snapped' those inquisitive lions. Yes, that car in your picture, is the rear of my son - in -law's car. It was a very special morning! Thank you for posting!

Some great interesting stories in this thread.

This guy caused a little trouble a few visits ago:

He wouldn't leave the car alone:

One morning when we were staying at 2R (Sept 2011) we came out of our bungalow and saw leopard spoor next to our car!! No sign of the leopard, but sometime during the night he had obviously wandered past!!!

@ Lion queen: Cannot wait for your photos!

@ shane: Your photos are really fantastic and that lion at the back end of that Audi made me wonder if it left a few scratches on the boot? Thank you for taking time to post this and entertain us all here. Great work!

@ Crested Val: Well, as you can read in this thread, TR has produced leopards in the past, so now we must be careful walking around at night in the camp! Haha!

Fortunately I had Lion Queen to make sure it was safe to use the loo at picnic sites in KTP! She really was, and always will be, my guardian angel!

In April of last year, we were at the Rooiputs waterhole, when we saw a male leopard stalking this ground squirrel. I was convinced I am about to see my first leopard kill! He was tense and very careful!

Image

However, by the time he came close to the squirrel, the squirrel just disappeared into his burrow and the leopard decided to sit and wait next to the hole for a good 20 minutes or so, before he gave it up!

Where did he go?

Awesome sightings and experiences GavinW! We didn't find any predators at picnic places, except for a "tame" Jackal at Dikbaardskolk!
