Thank you, frisian! :gflower: That was basically all that I needed.

A beautiful photo regarding the affection but the both of them
don't look all too happy nor too healthy. :? Mr. Handsome looks
as if he was limping? (Right hind leg)

Where did you take this photo? Just outside Nossob?

Now with that photo telling me with 99% certainty that I
did not capture Mr. Handsome nor his brother in October
at Nossob waterhole, I wonder if it is possible that there
are more or less 4 adult males in the greater area.

Does anybody have any information regarding that?
Could it be that the Nossob brothers were dethroned by
some younger males?

As far as I can remember it was a printer here in Upington that printed the book??

Thank you

Spoken to the publisher in Upington; NO LUCK!

Kingfisha wrote:This is a very exciting topic! I am sure you have all heard of OUSUS. She is/was (don't know if she is still alive) a female lioness who frequented the Bedinkt waterhole in KTP.

Piet Heymans wrote a book about her "Ousus van die Kalahari" and she was identified by her whiskers. I am not sure, but it was something dot-dot-space-dot.

I cannot find a lot on internet...I am sure the KTP staff will know much more about OUSUS!

KleinKedawer wrote:Hey everyone! I'm sorry to have to say this, but unless you already have an Ousus book, you will not find it in the KTP shops. There was only a limited number of prints and it seems that Oom Piet does not see the need to have more printed. However, since my Grandpa  is such a softie...you can try to convince him otherwise. You can also send him some of your own Ousus pics, he will love to correspond with you!! Hi KleinKedawer :)
Do you know where I could obtain a secondhand copy of the book, OUSUS written by your Grandpa?
I have read the book (a work colleague gave it to me to read). Now I would like to get a personal copy of the book. Looking forward to your reply and possible help/assistance in this regard. HELP! HELP! HELP!
