I have an odd one -any idea how the dead jackal ended up hanging in the tree? Do you think a leopard would have carried him up there ?

Great image and well spotted pamelajane

Yip definitely a Leopard  Mike Mills in his book Hyenas of the Kgalagadi mention a few times they found a Jackal in the tree after the Leopard kill him. Jackals also don't hesitate to kill Leopard cubs.
