WillieV

Nice pic of this Cape Fox . . . going past there in a few days . . . on our first day (of 18) in the KTP . . . sharing our time between Nossob and Mata Mata.

Could you perhaps tell me more closely as to axactly where you saw this one at Urikaruus . . . it looks very much as if it was baking in the wintry sun outside its den when this pic was taken.

A good (farming) friend of mine stumbeld across a female with 4 little ones on his wine farm, next to the Kuils River gholf course very recently . . . very close your, and my home .

Would appreciate your response

Hi Red Dune

As you approach Urikaruus from Kamqua you cross the river bed and as you go up the dune the den is on your left next to the road. There are a few holes. Just wait a few minutes and they will come out.

We saw them almost every day when passing. In my trip report are more photos.

Thanx WillieV,

At about 11h00 next Saturday morning . . . the sun will behind me going up that
dune from the river bed. I just had a look at the spot on Google Earth. Perfect !
(I last saw a Cape Fox den, below the road, some 100 meters south of Marie se
Gat . . . and this was <2006 ! )
