I don't know what the jackal was eating but it wasn't very tastful because short after this picture was taken he/she started to vomit.

The picture was taken March 2011 and the Kgalagadi was very green at that time, wonderful!

It's not easy to come that close or did you use one of those (white) super tele lenses.... :wink:
