Aternoon all,

The following video clip's was taken from the trap cam set on video mode; it is random 20second clips.

Lately many guests would complain about the waterholes not having water, as you can see in some of the clips that the culprits are the Eland which will come and drink at night and they empty the waterholes not giving the pumps enough time to refill the waterholes, so it is not that we do not maintain the waterholes it is just that the Eland is currently the problem.

Jenny and I, Glenda and Eric had the most fantastic time, in the afternoon a fantastic sighting of a leopard and less than 12 hours later the encounter with the lion, all thanks to Jan and Rob, it will never be forgotten. Peter and Jennie, Eric and Glendaj

Just catching up on 2 weeks worth of posts - but wow, our morning walk video brought all the memories flooding back thank you !!!!! - and yes, it was freezing cold - in fact by the time the vehicle got to Saamevloeiing I honestly couldn't feel my face and that was a first, even after camping in mid-winter !!

Love the different camera angles Jannie, you got some great footage ( cough cough ) - especially like the low angle ones , you can almost see right up Robert's shorts in one shot

If anyone really wants to experience the Kalahari in an entirely different way, go on a walk - its amazing!!!

The Eland seem to be very thirsty.
How long does it take till the waterhole is refilled with water? I would have tought that there is at least a very little bit left, but according to the video, it is emptied to the last drop
