Had a safe homeward bound trip so far. Overnight at Klawer. Cannot help to think back to a wondreful stay at KTP. Thanks guys at KTP, you're doing a stunning job.

We went on a midnight ride on 31/12/11 - 1/1/12.

Just after the guide got back into the vehicle from closing the gate, 5 lions crossed the road to the waterhole outside 2R. We found mating lions at Skiddy Corner on the Nossob road.

Where else can you be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the milky way at midnight.

Just go for the experience and anything you see will be a bonus. :thumbs_up:

We went on a midnightdrive on 31/12/12-1/1/13 from Nossob.
We saw:
springhare
foxes
BBJ
springbok

and a lioness with 2 cups drinking at a waterhole :mrgreen:

go to the park for 9 nights from this Thursday, am so looking forward to it, twee riverien, nossob, bitterpan and the tented camp.

Is the recommended route from Joburg still via Upington?
What are the check in / check out times for the camps in the park?

I know the gates open at 06:00 and close at 19:30, am not sure check in time for accommodation could be the same?

Any hazards and/or recommendations for the route from JHB to KTP around the middle of this month?
