 totally AWESOME !!! Thanks for putting the camera out for that lion kill - its just breathtaking !!

And the porcupine and the leopard staring into the camera  and all the brownies and spotties and eland and the HONEY BADGER - aaaaaarg - if this hasn't made every single KTP fanatic on the forum totally "homesick" then I don't know ..... I know I wish I could climb in the car right now and head off up there

Thanks Jannie, I know the time and effort it takes not only to sift through and post these photos for us but also the driving to and fro to move the camera's all over the park for us - just know we REALLY do appreciate it :gflower:

Only a pleasure as long as you enjoy the pictures.

It took the lions about 3 days to finish the Eland calf

Great photos KG! What has drawn all the Eland to Twee Rivieren? Water and better grazing?

Thanks for all the hard work!

Morning all.

Yesterday there was a little incident with the camera which was set up at Houmoed on Sunday.

The assistant section ranger came to me and said he was on his way back to Twee Rivieren and while passing Houmoed he could see something was not right at the camera trap. He and the field rangers got out just to discover the camera wasn’t in the housing anymore......but they were able to pick it up a few meters from the housing.

It seems that some predator has found a liking in the cam and ripped it out of the Housing breaking all the cable ties and the dropper out of the ground.

Expecting things like this to happen I will do my best to go and set up the cam again today.

Maybe some of the action has been captured on the camera so that you can see who the culprit was Kgalagadi Guru!

Hi there,

I did look at the pics which were taken but there is no evidence to who it might have been.

Sleep.......In a way I do BUT like a wise man once said."We will get enough sleep once we are dead"

wow .... those cameras do take a hammering, despite how much you secure them inside that termite mound  . Thank goodness they left the camera and didn't chew it up or walk off with it like has happened before :)
