Johan what Stunning pics of the Lions they look so majestic and don't seem to have as many facial scars as the ones in KNP and their colors are really so much brighter :D
Thanks for sharing

Hi Lion Queen

No, Kij Kij , Jan. 2012 and we saw them again in June
In Jan they were 12 lions in the group, the most together we ever saw, :D

At last we got a capable dominant male(s) in the Kj Kij Rooipoets area

Johan

Wonderful to hear that you got to see them twice!!!

We saw this pride also twice, the previous time in December 2008 at Kamfersboom. The lioness at the front had a branding on her hind leg which made it easy to determine that it is the same pride.

This was also a huge pride, at the stage I took the photo there were still lions on their way from Botswana across the pan.............can't remember how many there were in the pride :hmz: . On the photo there's ten. The male was one of the late comers!!!!

8) Nice pics everyone.
We also saw a lion chase once. They are fast, one can't really imagine how fast until you have seen one on the chase.
