A porcupine on my way back also close to Kukurasiep dry river bed and in the area of Moonrock a even larger herd of Eland with a lot of youngsters together with a pair of klipspringers which was just next to the road. A genet and scrub hare at the end of the drive.

03/09
Eland running over the road a rather quick sighting, when we entered the Game area, followed by a lot of scrub hare on my way in. The same Hartmann zebra with her foal in the area of Oranjekom again.
Red rock rabbit at the Black ridges and gemsbok as well. A small herd of springbok together with gemsbok on the other side of the Black ridges with a few giraffes at the the point where I turn to the restcamp.

Seems as if the notes to the Aardwolf worked!!!!

A quick question........is there more water on the low water bridge??? It seemed Sunday as if the normal cars struggled to get through the water????

There is more water than usual, I measured it myself and at the deepest end it is 300mm, I dont know if you know but this is all left over irrigation water which flow back in to the gorge.
Reception staff are making tourist aware that only vehicles with high clearance can go through, it is still unknown why there is more water as this is the first time that this happen.

Thanks for the answer........and yes I do know it's excess irrigation water.

Maybe I could ask some of my Augrabies farmer clients???

Last night eland was found again close to the restcamp, and all the way into the Game area they were scattered.
We found a small herd of gemsbok in the area of the Black Ridges and giraffes at the bottom, which make the guest which was students so excited.

On my way back we have Hartmann zebra's, springbok, scrub hare and spotted eagle owl.
