Wow, KG, the lions seem to love TR and its surroundings.

I think you can't imagine just HOW MUCH I would love to go on a walk at TR right now!!!

But instead of watching lions while walking around in the Kalahari, I have to shovel snow

I totally agree with you that I don't understand why so few people go on a walk. We did a walk from Nossob this year and last year and although we did not have such impressive sightings as you had, we loved and enjoyed the walks.

Morning all,

Had a walk this morning (was very happy because I could go and look for the lions again), at the starting point we heard the lions roar....so off we went. After about 20minutes the lions again started roaring somewhere in front of us, we stopped and tried to pin point where they were.

The one guests asked me how far away there were, I said not that far but we will go and have a look and see if we can find them. She then asked me to try and avoid them as she doesn’t want to see lions.... :wall: , so obviously i had to change route and avoid the lions...we never had the chance to see them.

Sunset drive:

Lions and CARACAL

A guest that is a few Marie biscuits short of a picnic, that's who  .... can't IMAGINE not wanting to go see lions on foot, especially when you know they are close by - what most of us wouldn't give to be on that walk :?

Ok in the defence of the accused think it's easy to be brave from far but tracking spine-chilling roaring on foot when you can't see where the lions are may have been a little daunting.....perhaps she prefers to admire their beauty without feeling that she may be on their menu

KTP Walk definitely on my bucket list !!!

We arrived at TR yesterday afternoon. On our afternoon drive we saw 2 lions near Samevloeiing and 6 lions at Kij Kij.

This morning there were four new eland carcasses close to the TR waterhole and a Brown Hyena!!! In the Auob riverbed we saw 5 lions between Monro and Kamfersboom and a lone cheetah at Kamfersboom.

Plenty of general game between Leeudril and TR.

Great sightings Lono!
Did you see the Kij Kij Male (Mufasa Junior)? Most beautiful lion I've ever seen in KTP.
Here's a photo of him from 2 weeks ago.

 :cam:

I would advise anyone who's going in the next 2 months to make sure they spend some time in TR.
Action is HOT right now
