Hi AntonA :D

We saw 3 lots of cheetah this trip - one was between Montrose and Rooibrak waterhole with a kill , then there were a pair of brothers hunting wildebeest just on the MM side of the loop to Dertiende Boorgat and they were seen in that same area 2 days later again so that seems to be their turf .. Gertie and her 3 cubs were a couple of hundred meters on the MM side of Sitzas waterhole - in fact you could see the waterhole from where we were. There was a report of the same 4 very close to Kalahari Tented Camp one morning so thats obviously where they hang out as Sitzas is only about 5 km from KTC ...

They were on the main road from MM to TR ... I think the split you are thinking about is on the Nossob side between Rooiputs and KijKij ? The old Bots road that you can take because they havent finished that last part of the road yet ? DONT take the split unless they have graded it recently - it was diabolical and took a good few years of life off the car I think  ..

Have a stunning trip and will hold thumbs for those cheetah for you .. it is already bitterly cold so come prepared for that and enjoy enjoy !!

Cheers Gill

Thanks so much.

Last question. When I drive down from Nossob to TR on my last day on my way to Upington where we will sleep over.

Can I drive straight down from Nossob to TR or should I rather take the Dune road?

Many thanks,

Anton

Hi Anton

Yip, you can drive straight down from Nossob to TR no problem ... it will be quicker than taking either the upper or lower dune roads ...

ENJOY it so much and holding thumbs for some amazing sightings for you

Sorry for not being active the last month or so , but things are a bit on the hectic side.
