Yip..we did ours from TR..actually the vehicle took us to Samevloeiing and beyond and we walked from there.
I do think you can do walks from Nossob and Mata Mata as well...make your plans and book lirritma.
BTW a midnight drive is also a good way of getting rid of your pennies..chat to Kgalagadi Guru for finer details!!!!

Good Morning.

Nossob had a stunning walk this morning. They found a caracal in a tree with a bat eared fox it caught and the rest of the bat eared foxes calling under the tree. On the way to the walking area they found lions.

Twee Rivierens walk:

Plenty of general game and a large herd of wildebeest and Oryx, unfortunately no predators this time round.

dear KG & forum,
My SO & I (55+) hope to be staying in TR march 12/13 and Nossob march 14, On the 15th back to TR if nothing else comes free - we don't camp. (have booked: R2633440)
After reading this thread we'd love to make a morning walk, perhaps preferring Nossob on march 15th. Anybody care to join? Would be embarrassed to "claim" a ranger for a private walk : )

@Light55

Wery warm welcome to the forum, hope you will have a great time here.

There is nothing wrong with having your own 'Private' walk, looking at the time of year you are looking at doing the walk I would guess there should be more people who would like to join and who will be booking at the camps.

Let me know if I should go ahaed and book the walk for you.

Bibronsgecko,

There are certain conditions if and when we do take guests from Rooiputs on a walk, like there needs to be a minimum of 5 or if you are 3 then you will have to pay for 5, unfortunately these are the conditions.

The walks start 30min before the gates open

Hi,

I am looking for info on KTP walks. Its my husbands 40th in the beginning of October and he LOVES the Kgalagadi. He has mentioned that he would love to do a walk of 4x4 trip from the Nossob area.

Please can you give me the details of walks/trips that are available and the details of how many people etc needed.

Is Jannie back by any chance (the guide who used to do the walks and 4x4 trips)?

Thx

Hi there Debby T,

I am indeed back in the Kgalagadi, just can’t get enough of the place 8) ,
Regarding your questions. We do offer day walks from all the main camps and then there is the Nossob 4x4 trail also available which is a three night trip in the dunes.

If there are any more information needed please do not hesitate to contact me jank@sanparks.org

Hi Jannie

Somehow I had a feeling it was you, with all those wonderful informative posts. Kevin and I had a feeling you would be back soon!! (we did a night drive with you about 4 yrs ago at Nossob just before you left)

I will definitely be mailing you regarding info on the walks / drives. I must just look at my dates.

Thx

Great to have you back!!!!
