Morning all,

Last night we received our first thunderstorm with heavy rains, it started at about 18h00 and ended in the early hours of the morning. I will try and get the amount of rain which fell in the park and let you know. The soil is very wet and it was hopefully one of many thunderstorms o come

Morning all,

Twee Rivieren measured 20mm, there are a few rain meters in strategic places around TR in the park, I’m just awaiting the feedback from the respective section rangers to be able to give you those stats.

Thanks Ndloti for the feedback.

Thunder most of Saturday afternoon and threatening rain, went out into the Auob at about 16:00 and the sight that greated us just over the last dune hill was....water in the river, lots of it, puddles in the road and water holes around waterholes!!
I believe that there was something similar on Sunday on the Nossob side, but unfortunately we were on our way home at that time.
I hope that Mata-Mata area got some good rain as we felt that it was very dry there.

Should be turning green as we write!
