Good afternoon,
There is probably a post concerning KTP climate, but could not find it.
Coud you please tell me if September is a pleasant month for a KTP visit?
we will be there from 20th to 26th

Risk of rain?

Thanks a lot for your help

Hello edie,

The weather in the KTP can be very unpredictable

However, the end of Sept should give you pleasantly warm days and cool nights. 5 min to 30 max at a guess, with every variation in between and even colder nights and hotter days

It should also not rain, but you could be lucky :D

One thing you definately shouldn't get is snow ! (just feeling sorry for all the european mites at the moment)

Sept is actually a very nice time to visit

Well, don't feel sorry, you know each season has its positiv sides.
like for example, i might be lucky enough tomorrow to be unable to go to work and be forced to stay at home...
haha, just kidding  (or not)
please don't tell my boss

We wre also in that storm, something fantastic to see, as campers we did get a bit wet but then again it cooled us down. First visit and not our last will be going back.

KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

KTP Offline..(due to weather)

Unread postby Scouter » Wed Feb 22, 2012 5:06 pm

Hi all... Just had a call from Jannie who asked me to let you know that KTP is currently offline due to a massive cloudburst - 52 mm of rain at TR - with more clouds building up and more rain on the way. They might be offline for a day or 2 ....
