No but on the webcam for Nossob there is a lot of water. Some guys of the 4x4 community is there at the moment and they wil report in a weeks time. Hope the grass is growing as we will be in Kgalagadi from the 20 Dec until 5Jan.

Hi Herman,

It rained both in the south and north resulting in road closure between Rooiputs and Kij-Kij. The road was still closed yesterday, but maybe opened by now.

Up north large pools formed in the road and north of Lijersdraai we had to drive through a pool that was so deep that the water was nearly above the 4x4's bonnet. Not sure how the sedan cars manage. By Friday roads were manageable around Nossob and smooth by the tractors. This soft road will only last 3 days and back to the normal bumpy ride by today.

We saw lions walking knee deep across the Nossob river at Maries on 8 Dec. Great to be there while it rained, but unfortunately back home now.

We were in KTP 27/12/2013 - 1/1/2014, and it was beautifully GREEN! :D Did not have any rain to really mention while we were there, we did hear that it rained quite a bit on the 26th of Dec (day before we arrived). But KTP is most definitely green at the moment. Beautiful! Will hopefully get all the pics in order soon for a TR...

Kgalagadi is Green!!!

Lots of rain at Unions End to Polentswa! River all over ....

In Nossob lots of rain.

The road from Twee Rivieren after Rooiputs is closed , you must use the road in Botswana side to Melkvlei.

Some places the water is deep.

Good for Kgalagadi. The flowers is all over!
