No LQ i do not want that to happen to me.
I checked out the Eco 4x4 trail, but that is only in the week.

Takes years of training to get the leopard to do that...........

and 3 seconds for the previous occupant to forget all their potty training!

I disagree. Even with only 4 units, I have had noisy neighbors in wilderness camps on more than one occassion And after the expense of travelling all the way from the USA, I do NOT appreciate having less than the expected peace and tranquility So while it may be hard(er) for you 'locals' who can go frequently to get into a wilderness camp on short notice, I am strongly in favour of keeping them just as small as they now are. Yes, I have to plan far in advance to ensure that I get a place in a wilderness camp, but it's worth it!

Arks very understandable that people like to have quietness in the wilderness camps, I like it also. I think that is one of the reasons people visit the wilderness camps. People tread the wilderness camps with the same respect as bird hides.
We were at Gharagab once with some noisy neighbors, the guy next to us got so irritated that he shouted at them "shut up". It worked. If he didn't I would've.

I am so lucky to be able to get accommodations in 3 of the wilderness camps
Some people may think planning so far ahead is anal but not me

Picnic, unfortunately in my several experiences of noisy neighbors in wilderness camps, requesting them to pipe down (rather more nicely than just shouting 'shut up' ) had no effect, they were intent on having a jol. Perhaps the fact that I'm a single woman, both outnumbered and with no heavy hitter(s) to 'defend' me, had something to do with the utter indifference that I encountered?

Rookie if only it was on Saturday.

If there are not two units available I cannot make a booking for my small family of 3 (myself, SO and 13 year old LO).

Why do the park not allow children younger than 16 years to share with their parents. The only way I can also experience places like Grootkolk or Kieliekrankie is if I book two units, which is even more difficult than those wanting to book one only. In the end the one unit will stand empty because you cannot move between units at night.

This means the Wilderness camps are not for families with children, besides KTC. If its about the number of people per camp due to the availability of water how can you determine that a extra child will use more water. It all depends how often the occupants of a unit will wash-up or shower. Two people without a concern for saving water can use far more than 3 people restricting themselve to a two minute shower.

My question is why must I wait until my child is an adult and left home before I can get a booking at a fair price.
Solution: If its about the number of people why can't one get the 2'nd unit at say 60 % of the cost instead of 100 % if its only for 1 person.

I am sure there are many more people traveling as 3 - 5 and it will be great if price is determine per person sharing with a 10 -20 % levy if single.
