what super news and photos

I search for Safran around Lijesdraai... and I found another rarety

I saw Barolong at Urikaruus, by night and twice a big male, no photo  at night :?
and the last day was a kill, a really fresh Leopard's kill near Rooibrack... and wait for a long time to see which Leopard it could be  nothing....nothing at all

Sorry, I haven't been yet, but was interested in seeing the leopards.
Hope to get there in a year or 2!

Sorry to contradict you, but no, you didn't see Barolong. I got it from good authority.
It was Tsamma and the male was Dakotah. 8)

I just want to say it publically again: Thanks heaps for ID'ing my blurred night leopard shots for me, AstroMatt! :gflower:

No worries...it was a great challenge ;)
Also really good to know that yours and Anne-Marie's were the same sightings.

Hi All

Some of the leopards we saw on our trip in April 2012.

This was the evening of 10 April 2012 at the Urikarus waterhole.

Terrible photo I know, but for me that is now the norm!!!

Image

She came walking under our cabin ( nr 3) and then a hyena chased her into the tree in front of unit 4. When the hyena left she got out and just sat there staring at the waterhole.

I've been trying to clear up some old(ish) sightings using newer pictures and i have an identification for this shot now. There was some speculation that this was Tsamma, but i'm certain it's Barolong (Tsamma's mum).
