We had the pleasure of sharing about 1 hour with this gorgeous creature all on our own just south of Gemsbokplein WH! :dance:

The sighting started with him/her stretched out under a tree. After a while he/she got up and sauntered across the riverbed. The something in the bushes caught its attention. Much to our surprise, an AWC hightailed it out of there, straight across the riverbed and over the ridge! The leopard was NOT impressed!!

If you clever 'mites could help with an ID it would be much appreciated! Tried to get all the angles, but I sometimes just forgot to take :cam:

Hi bosticbudgie! It was lovely to meet you in TR - our first YR within minutes of arriving! Great sighting and photos of Miera

. She certainly is beautiful. The 26th must have been 'Leopard Day' :lol:

We thought it was her, but our leopard ID'ing skills are even worse than our bird ID skills!

Lovely to meet you too! The 26th most certainly was leopard-day! You guys also had an incredible sighting. As if seeing a leopard isn't special enough, leopard plus 2 cubs!! WOW! It's enough to make anyone absolutely :mrgreen:

Our photos 3 & 4 were taken through the window as Miera was right next to the car, looking me straight in the eye! I can tell you, I've never rolled up windows that fast! Although gorgeous, I would hate to share a Landy cab with her :big_eyes:

I still get goosebumps thinking about it :dance:

Thanks for the sighting bosticbudgie :thumbs_up:

She is a special leopard to see as she does seem to be very relaxed around cars. This is probably due to general habituation to the vehicles due to her mum being very relaxed around cars when Miera was young.

jacliz we already heard about your Leopard sighting while in KTP, the bushdrums are working purrrfectly :lol:

Wonderful sighting and great captures :thumbs_up:

This is the first of a couple of Leopards that we saw on on trip this year at Samevloeiing on the 30.10.

Beautiful pix and video of the Rooiputs female(1.6 in AstroMatt's ID guide). :dance:

She has been around for some time, first seen in the Rooiputs area, and then since Maja was relocated to Nossob, in Maja's old area. She was also one of the first leopards on this thread - appearing for the first time on page 1.
