Hi W

O, too bad. But I am sure you'll enjoy your stay, so do I. Can't wait to get back to the Kgalagadi with my new equipment and "knowledge".

Enjoy it

Having read the recent report on the Nossob 4x4 trail made me wonder whether a radiator seed net would be required when doing the Leeudril 4x4 route?

Anybody that recently done this route that could give feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Blackie.

During October a net was not needed, but I suggest you wait for response from someone like KG.

Think it would depend on what time of year you did it too :hmz:

If KG doesn't pick up on this thread, maybe PM him or e-mail him and ask.

Hi Blackie,

We have had some good rain in that area, to be on the safe side i would recommend a Seed net.

Tks KG - will take precautionary action and manufacture one from shade netting.

I'm interested too :D
Is it an obligation to go in convoy... not so long route :hmz:

We did it in April this year. Nothing serious. Mostly a sandy track with 2 or 3 small dunes to climb but with deflated tyres (around 1.2 bar) and 4WD it is easy peasy!.

No need to go in a convoy - it is an unguided trail. Nice scenery and I just loved the remoteness as we were the only 2 vehicles on the trail. Saw some Gemsbok, BBJ, etc.

For the price it is worthwhile doing it.

Blackie.
