this is a wonderful author!! she wrote Mahlangeni and All Thing Wild And Wonderful. both of these books were extremely enlightening and they both take you right to the scene of the event. yes illustrations were also included...for anybody who wants a good read about wildlife and KNP in particular do yourself a favour and buy the book. you wont be disappointed....Rating 15 out 10..o n mind you children will also enjoy it..shweet

I received her book mahlangeni and thoroughly enjoyed it. Another book worth reading is Bruce brydens memoirs. It is fascinating

i got about one chapter left for A Game Ranger Remembers, just cant get down to finishing it though....
however i read both of Kobie Kruger's books and really it was something exceptional! and i agree the life is quite difficult but the things you encounter and experience is like nothing else in the world....o how i long to set sail to KNP's horizon

I was looking on Amazon and noticed there was another book as well.. A Wilderness Family I think it was called.

I am seriously bummed because Kuki Gallmanns site is down

ETA: it does say A Wilderness Family on the lost of recommended books, just not in this topic

Yep definitely 2 books in one. The first one is Mahlangeni and the second is the one about the lion (sorry can't remember the name and I gave the book to my Dad).

Yes, but I think it is a shortened version. The Wilderness Family doesn't have the part about Kobie Kruger filming baboons near Shingwedzi.
Or is it just my copy of the book? :shock:
