Hornbills of the World - A Photographic Guide

Unread postby yoda » Fri Jan 24, 2014 4:16 pm

Just bought myself a copy of:

Hornbills of the World - A Photographic Guide
By Poonswad, Kemp & Strange
ISBN: 9789810735289

This is a fantastic account of the worlds Hornbills.
There is a general introduction section dealing with behaviour, feeding etc
Then there is a section on the African species, and a section on the Asian species.

Each species has it's own entry.
Fantastic photos, a distribution map, taxonomy, breeding and status are dealt with.

Not a cheap book, but well worth it imo

No problem.

I have discovered a UK based online book shop that specialises in natural history.
They have thousands of titles in stock.
I feel like a child in a sweet shop. There are about 10 books in my "basket" which I will be buying over the next few months. The SO would not be happy with me if she knew......
PM me if you want the details. They ship world wide.

Hi Yoda,

Any chance you could share a link to the website of the UK retailer you mention?

I'm tempted to get myself a copy.

Not sure if I can post the link?
Perhaps one one of the mods could clarify?

PM sent in the mean time
