Hi Al,

I wonder if anyone can help with the following.

When I was in Kruger (Skakuza) in 2010 I was looking through the books at the shop.
There was an interesting book on elephants. It was quite expensive and I didn't buy it. Of course, now I wish I had.

It was a smallish softcover book that had quite technical info on elephants.

Does anyone have any idea of what the book is called?
And what the ISBN might be?

Hi Yoda,

The only elephant book that came to mind is Elephant Whisperer. I don't think that is the book you are describing here. i will think and keep my eyes open to see if i see another elephant book with more or less the description you give. Can you maybe even remember the writers name, that can also help.

No, it's not The Elephant Whisperer. I have that already.

This was quite technical, an obscure publication I seem to recall.
Mainly on National Parks elephants, but I think there was a chapter on Pilanesburg too.

Was in Kruger over the weekend and had a look at the books in the Skukuza shop. Saw the following and thought it might be the one your looking for.

Author: Bob Preller

Have a look at his website. The book featured there doesn't look like the one in the shop (that was more a light green cover with photo of a single elephant) but maybe you could get some more info on there. If it's the one you're looking for of course
