This book by John Frederick Walker ISBN 0-8021-4068-8 is the story about one of the most revered and endangered regal beasts of AFRICA: a majestic coal-black, white faced quadruped with breathtaking curved horns over 1.52meters long with a girth of 26 cm.

This book interweaves the stories of the adventurers, scientists and warriors who have come under the thrall of this magnificent animal and how their actions would shape the fate of the Giant Sable Antelope of ANGOLA, a war torn country which is it's only home.

It is more than just a book about the Giant Sable, it also tells of the story about illegal ivory trade in Namibia and Angola during the 1980s. He tells about the decorated veteran - the famed Col.
