Eye of the leopard

Unread postby Impisi08 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 9:38 pm

Follow the life of Legadema the leopard in the book "Eye of the leopard" from Beverly & Dereck Joubert. Stunning photographs and very interesting to read.

ISBN 978-0-8478-3322-1

I also recommend the DVD "Eye of the leopard".

Yes! I have not seen the book yet, but was so taken by the documentary on TV, that I promptly bought the DVDs for overseas relatives.

I believe Lekadema is alive and well and she has had a few litters of cubs already. (I found out after sending an email to Dereck & Beverly Joubert)

Is it not ABSOLUTELY Awesome to be able to "follow" a wild creature's life (and feel such a part of it) - yet the animal in question never felt threatened or harrassed?

TOP class work!

Lee Lewis: and she has had a few litters of cubs already.

Glad to hear she is doing fine. The book ends when she has her first litter of two cubs.

The book is a bit expensive in South Africa (appr. zar 700,-). I bought it via the well known bookshops on the internet and paid half of this price.
