A fantastic book by our very own Jan Kriel (Jannie of Kgalagadi fame)
Short stories telling of his time in Kruger, some funny, some frightening, all exciting.
A very easy read with some unusual pics
Can't wait for Part 2

Also reading it,

And Jan, don't lie.

Enjoying the book quite a lot.

I've got this slip in the mail for a package from Bela-Bela. Who on earth will send me something from there? The strangest ideas came to mind, on opening I was like a kid opening a present on a birthday, its Jannie's book!
I just couldn't wait to start reading, and are still busy.
I just love to read the stories, the interaction with the guests and the animals. The close calls and hilarious situations that occur. I can quickly think of the 'porta potti coke bottle' and the lady with 'take finger out of face'. It feels as if you are in the bush on the walk. Some of the stories I struggle to read out load, because of the laughter. With some you can see what is going to happen, and others keep you on the edge till the end. I can't read on my one, I need to read the stories to the kids (and translate it) as well.
I can recommend to each and every one of you and can't wait for the next one....

Glad you all enjoy it, the next will have much more stories and pics in it and a map or two explaining where the walking areas were.

Enjoy

Ordered a copy as soon as I heard about it as I love these game reserve short story sort of books , it arrived while I was in kruger .

I put it away for my trip to ktp , but my wife decided to read it a bit , and I found it lying about last week.
I pretty much finished it over the weekend though lol , great book Jan , and nice to read stories from the point of a trails ranger !

If you don't have it , buy it .
