This week-end a dog fell into the big hole in Kimberley, Northern Cape and the dog was rescued in a very brilliant and brave way by human beings who care    .

On a daily basis our Rhino’s and Lions and other animals in Kruger and other National Parks are saved and rescued in a similar kind of way through the efforts, hard work and intelligence of equally brave and brilliant South Africans - without our animals there will not be National Parks. Some people even risk their own lives to care for and protect those animals from evil and harm – thank you    .

Another big thank you to all South Africans who care about animals both domesticated and those in the wild – in the SA National Parks    .

So pleased to hear there was a happy ending to the poor labrador which fell into the Kimberley Hole.
Well done to all concerned - what a pleasure to hear a bit of GOOD news for a change

I just knew that the dog will be rescued - there was no way that those visible South–Africans and those behind the scenes would have let that dog die. South-Africans are just too determined.

We, including the many friends of the Rhino’s across the World who care and help, will win the war against the slaughtering of our Rhino’s. It is how it will be - eventually.

The dog was named Kaptein. Apparently there were over a 100 requests from people all over the world, as far as Canada, that want to adopt Kaptein. But what a wonderful response there was from the general public to save this dog. Kurt Darren even offered to pay for a helicopter to save the dog. Well done all who assisted. BTW, the dog looks like a German shephard and not a Labrador.

May Kaptein become a symbol of hope for the Rhino’s. In my opinion the people who saved Kaptein have the same character, same bravery and will power as those who are protecting our Rhino’s. Therefore, the Rhino’s will again have peace one day.

It was a wonderful and courageous effort by all involved in saving Kaptein's life.
Well done and my heartfelt thanks to all. :gflower:
