Mizzbee, it was Mestel dam. I do love to just sit.. and it is an early morning coffee stop.

This was taken on New Year's day at Mestel dam. There were only two cars. The fellow in the car next to me looked as though he was needing a good sleep.

Image

Later, on my way back to camp, I passed a car driving very slowly. It was following this.

Just a picture of the first day of the year, a road and solitude.

I am envious of everyone in the park at the moment and those who are going there in the very near future.
I am also envious of the fantastic sightings some of you have. I can’t have very good game finding eyes.

Lovely sighting of cheetah MM and seen in such a special place.

tent dweller I hope you have similar fortune.

Grantmissy, I don’t know Babalala picnic site very well. Does anyone have photographs?

Tomorrow, I would like to be heading to Nwanetsi picnic site. It is where I treat myself to a 'hearty' skottle breakfast at least once on a Kruger trip.

Mizzbee, I took my family camping a few years back. It was over the New Year, so everything was very green. I thought that I had taken a few photos of Balabala, and I probably did, but sadly the computer they were saved on went AWOL

I might be mistaken, but I think this was taken at a water hole close to Balabala.

This is also rather a well know place between Punda and Shing. Note the tusker.

Trrp, I feel very honored to have had some wonderful tusker sightings in that area of the Park.

This picture was used in Aat's website. Sadly, the ellie had suffered burns

So today, I would like to be on the road between Punda and Shingwetzi.

One of the best views in Kruger. It seems to go on forever. My poor Trusted Beauty is no longer my companion. :( This brings an ache to my heart. I would love to be sharing this moment once again with my dearest trusty steed.

Tent Dweller, not yet. I am waiting for some inspiration.

I hope that you had a lovely birthday.

As the Rhino war continues, I can't help but think of the timelessness of these creatures. So powerful, vet so vulnerable. This was taken any years ago on a cricket trip. It is a moment when I saw another more touching side to the Rhino.

So true MM.

I would not mind being in Kruger right now, anywhere is fine, Kruger means many things to me and one of them is peace and tranquility - and that is good.
