The following statement is going to sound cheesy  but here goes : every breakfast in the Kruger is amazing because firstly nobody (the holiday party) is rushing to get anywhere (to school/work), everybody around the table is relaxed(in holiday mode), everybody is tolerant with everybody else, and everybody is willing to help with the breakfast preparations AND of course the main reason, there is always somebody very close by to assist with the cleaning of all the dishes at a very reasonable fee (which does not happen at home)

Breakfast in Kruger is always best for me :D in particular at:

1) Pafuri - who can possibly ask for more than "A Breakfast at Pafuri"?
2) Babalala - I  the northern Kruger.
3) Tshokwane - classic Kruger.

And missed:

One sunny morning at Mooiplaas when all the Mooiplaas picnic goers had their sausages, bacon and eggs cooking on the skottels and then a big grumpy elephant came to visit  ( ) ....

Apart form the skottel breakfasts in Kruger which are the best we never miss out on the breakfasts served in the restaurant in the Karoo National park. Very pleasant indeed

The best brekkies for me are always the cheese, biltong, crackers and fruit washed down by a Liquifruit when out on a morning walk - these do more for me than the brunches we normally have after a morning driving around.

I have missed all the Kruger picnic spot breakfasts in December but May is getting closer …. The smell of bacon, egg and toast on the skottel :P mix well with the pungent smell of the bush.

Best Bfast had must be in Augrabies........take the 4X4 wilderness area route and make your own Brekkie at the picnic site.......chances are good that you will be the only people there and you can relax and enjoy the surroundings!!

Somebody at Afsaal missed a good brekkie a few years ago when a leopard took the bacon of their skottel.

Also my dad & I arrived at LS from CB and the conversation went something like this.

"Will you get the brekkie out of the car please."
"Ok where is it?"
"I didn't pack it, you did."
"I didn't pack it, I thought you did."
"Oh dear (or words to that effect."

So we had a LS bought brekkie, and with a twinkle in the old codger's eye he stuck his hand into his pocket and it emerged with a hip flask of Amarula for the coffee.

It was not a complete disaster.
