If I have to choose one it will probably be the Aardvark. I gave up looking for brown hyena's in Kruger.

Has anyone seen all the Pigs of the Wild during one or more visits? I have not seen all of the following animals in the Wild but it would be great: The Bushpig (Bosvark), the Porcupine (Ystervark), the Aardvark and the Warthog (Vlakvark). Vark is the Afrikaans word for Pig. I guess it would be (very) rare.

I dont think I'll ever see one but I would love to see a pangolin. And another animal that I have an affection for is trapsoetjies (chameleon). And you know I havent seen one for years now.

Nice **BUMP** there CV.

In 3 short weeks we'll be arriving in the wonderful KNP for what is hopefully another magical trip. As ever I have a few 'missing' critters on my list.

1. Black Rhino (never ever seen one anywhere)
2. Pel's Fishing Owl
3. Vin Diesel (Read a lot about this huge male Leopard)

Anybody else with others to add?
To see a sunrise in KNP is to see magic.

And I thought the Pangolin was a mythical creature, just put on the animal list to torment us. Glad to see that some of you have seen one.

Now I sit here and think what I most want to see - and the answer is EVERTYTHING and ANYTHING is better than NOTHING.

The closest I get is a nice picture on my screen saver of the Tankwa Karoo today at work.
