...when you have made the 1500km trip from Cape to Kruger, you check in, get to your hut, unpack and then the next words are - "so, do you want to take a drive"

carolcass, no matter how tired you are after booking in and unpacking, the tiredness seems to evaporate/vanish and you are ready to soak up the Kruger.....................

This weekend marks the start of my stockpiling season, I have got my refund from SARS :o :lol: :lol: :lol: so tomorrow I am off to Makro, only got 4 months to prepare

Enjoy the stockpiling - it's all in the planning. 4 Weeks for me - then the BIG drive begins. :whistle:

.........the manager of your local supermarket sees you with a shopping trolley and a basket and then asks you "Is it that time of the year already? I presume you are preparing for your Kruger holiday" Things in the trolley are for home, things in the basket get put away for our holiday in December

You vividly keep on picturing one of the Kruger National Park entrance gates in your mind during the city traffic chaos in the afternoon when at least 6 taxis have squeezed in front of you in spaces that will not fit a toy wheelbarrow in one block travelled but you stay relatively calm as you know Kruger is always there waiting with an abundance of peace and quiet …

Most people here in the UK are miserable that it's autumn, and the cold of winter is approaching.
Not me. The sooner winter comes, the sooner I will be coming to SA, and the sooner I will be in Kruger :dance:
