Mites, we have a musketeer in our midsts here; he does not even believe Sable exist in Kruger. I think he is off to Kruger soon'ish. Shall we put a tut together to help this chap?

Tips for Tut:
It needs to be basic :naughty:

Lets start with how many legs a Sable has.

A Sable has four (4) legs.

Hold up your hand W@H ... tuck in your thumb, and the fingers that stick up is four (4)

It also has two horns, that look quite unlike a held up elephants trunk.

The top parts of the body are black, in mature males, and browner if young or females, and the bottom parts, which also require mention, are white.

If you see one with a R3 million price tag on, you know that it is the one that was imported from Zambia.

People people people!!! Don't confuse Sable with Waterbuck .. If you go to any of the gazillions spots in KNP where there are "always" sable .. you only find this ..

Image

so please .. Sable outside of KNP do not count as Sable INSIDE KNP :P

The situation is graver than I ever thought; and task we have set ourselves, near insurmountable! But we shall overcome!
