I would definitely book accommodation at fewer camps as we stayed in four camps over a six day period. I would not pack those “might come in handy” items as we never used them in any case – I would rather travel light with the minimum items that will definitely be used. Have you ever felt that you will do something or anything differently/better on your next Kruger trip :D ?

I have been giving less camps more nights in one camp advice for years.

What would I do differently. I would stay inside Kruger as long as I can. It is a long way to travel, so stay as long as you can.

We definitely agree with you on the fewer camps Grantmissy! It is a lot of work to pack up everything and move to a next camp after just one or two nights. It is also sad if you do not have enough time to drive all the roads around a specific camp, that's why we normally stay three to four nights in one camp. :D

Every trip and visit is different in any event , so we do not really have to change anything , except to keep on changing and varying every time

For sure no more sundowner's at Sunset dam or Nsemani dam. As for the rest, I like to keep things as it has been done previously...

The only thing I would change is the amount of time that we spend in the park. 14 days once a year is just not enough.

I too wish that I could stay longer. :( .. it is not yet to be.

Next time, I will take more pictures. I am a very lazy photographer and I always think that I have taken more than I actually have. When I come home and am busy with a trip report I can be very frustrated at those lazy moments I missed. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

My worst photography experience was in an Addo and Mount Zebra trip. I mistakenly left my camera on early in the trip and the battery ran flat. I had taken my daughter to Grahamstown for the first time with all her goods and chatels and left my charger at home in the packing confusion. :slap: There was no way to recharge my battery.

Mount Zebra was a photographer's dream. Its so scenic, so beautiful and the flowers were still in their colourful profusion. :wall: :wall: :wall: no camera

My worst moment was, however, leaving the park and watching a family of 16 Meercat romp close to my car. That was a  moment.

We will be spending more time this trip taking in the sounds and smells and just slowing down the days by utilising the quieter picnic spots for special breakfasts, brunches or lunches.
