Been thinking about this one seeing that we have such great photographers around on the forum I am sure they use some of there special pictures as there wallpapers (Desktop) so Ill be the first and hope to see a few more coming around.

I also have 2 screens, but the wallpaper is a delightful blue corporate wallpaper, so I'm not going to post it, even though ironically it contains a SANPark image of sorts...

Pardon me for asking, but what is wall paper and what is desktop? On top of my desk are a lot of files a telephone a dictaphone and some books. How does this work in terms of computers?

Wallpaper = picture on your screen where the icons are, which is also (in computer parlance) referred to as the "Desktop". In other words, we want the picture used on your screen when you've got no applications open.

No mielie stronke, just a few gold nuggets. But why wallpaper? There is no paper near my computer, but from what I have learned from you guys is that it is the background of the computer screen. Why not refer to the fixedpictureinthebacground of the computer? It is the same with the thing called apps. I thought that it was something like 'apes' miss spelled. But then I could not think what have apes got to do with a cell phones?

On my desktop

I set mine to rotate and every once in a while I set it to pics of a different trip to a SANParks. Right now the Kgalagadi pics are rotating which makes me so homesick.
