Oh no Heksie! Were you a quiet little girl or how come that they forgot you? Didn't you cry when you saw them leaving without you? Shame! Sorry but this is very funny!

I doubt that somebody with so much energy could have been a quiet little girl .

I did cry who doesn't want to go to the Kruger?
And Barry- I had I think what they call attention deficit disorder and I was hyperactive, so maybe they wanted to leave me at home... You never know? But at least they came back after 15 or so minutes. I was almost scarred that whole holiday...

It would have been better if they has left you IN kruger.

I am always worried when I am on gate duty, ask how many people in the car, and the driver has to look around and count!!!!! If they don't know how many they should have - or started with - how will they know they have everyone on board when they move on?

The other day when we check out at Croc Bridge gate the gate guard asked us where's the other one. Instantly I looked back because surely no one could be missing. We are only 3. Any way my son was sleeping in the back and he did not see him. For one moment I thought we had a missing child.

I never got to take my MIL to Kruger SG, probably just as well

Hubby and I camped in Lower Sabie a few years back. That night a BIG storm was coming up ( we had the same tent as the people who couldt pitch ) any way, so it became windy and I slept like a queen. He woke me up, in total horror, to tell me he thinks we need to start packing as this storm is really going to blow everything away. He was sure that this was our last day. Grumpy grumpy I got up, Just to get outside to see that the neighbors were still sitting around the fire. It sounded much worse inside the tent as what it really was like outside. His reply to my total What on earth were you thinking look was: "There is now way that you sleep your bum off and I needed to fight this storm on my own"

And after that we camped at Skukuza, right next to the fence. The hyenas was very active that night. Scared to death I was telling him that if they jump the fence they will probably eat my alive. Right at that moment a tourist fell over one of our tentpegs right on to the tent. I was screaming that the hyenas was in camp and was on our tent, causing chaos! Well, everybody was wide awake after that.....

We once stayed in bungalow 10 at Croc Bridge and had an uninvited bat inside the bungalow, flying around like a pilot during a night flight training session, whilst we wanted to have some shuteye!!

I turned on the light and was looking for something to ground him before he collide with SO, sitting on the bed with bedding round her neck to avoid contact and at the same time shouting instructions at both of us.

The closest “ammo” was that nice little round wrapped soaps that you get with your towels. Starting underarm did not help and I changed my strategy to the stone throwing along water style. With the second throw, the “seepie” lodged itself into the hatch of the roof that it was only just visible (two years later it was still there!).

With no “ammo” left we decided to put out the lights and wait for the bat to land somewhere. About 15 minutes later SO tells me that she is hearing some scratching against the bedding. This time around the bat was hanging onto the bedding on my side of the bed. I quickly took a towel and caught the bat, however made my second blunder of the evening when letting our visitor free. I put him down on the ground!! The bat looked at me with a (you know I can’t take off from the ground) expression on his face before he wobbled to the closest tree to get some height for take-off. At last we could go back to bed without our uninvited guest.
