I have actually never drank amarula in Kruger... don't think I have ever drunk anything (alcohol wise) in the park

Or in that last cup of coffee just before bed . watching the fire die down listening to the Jackals (not hyena they scare me) wondering & hoping what you will see tomorrow.

I just made myself very melancholy.... (virtual drink verdriet) I really need to get to the bush soon before I shrivel up like a raison due to the lack of bush.

I just find that whoop eery/haunting. We camp in the open no fences at Map and just the thought they are out there looking for "me" scares me.

Please don't tell my kids I always have to put up the big mommy show for them when they are afraid...

My biggest fear is sitting on the "throne" and having a hyena or leopard peep around the corner.

Hyena (dogs with dropped suspention) & Leopard ( spotted cat) code we as adults use to not scare the kids, but then I think they are tuff nothing scares then except the loss of their favour teddy.

Been wondering what all the fuss is about, this stuff called Amarula, never having enjoyed it before. But being a fan of Baileys, my SO as well, I thought I'd better give it a go because I want to be fully prepared for Kruger in September - by the sound of it, I just couldn't seriously think of going in without some of this mootie. So this afternoon I trundled up to the South African Shop here in Melbourne, and sure enough, there it was on the shelf. So approx R300 later, I now have a bottle, ready to be supped with some lamb chops off the braai tonight. Also took the opportunity to stock up on some biltong and stokkies, and a dozen koeksusters for pud with coffee ( I have a very sweet tooth, and fortunately my family don't like them so all for me!). Will keep you posted on the Amarula verdict.........
