Hello everyone!

I haven't read all 300+ pages on this topic, so I don't know how many 'members' there already are, but I hope you will welcome one more. :) I'm 23 years old and a part-time student currently living in Pretoria - do I qualify?

Hope you're all well and daydreaming of the freedom only nature can provide! :D

Why thank you for the warm words of welcome.. :)

I recently qualified as a computational linguist at NWU in Potchefstroom, and now I am busy with my Master's degree in Applied Language Studies. (And yes, before anyone asks, I'm a language freak - and that includes spelling and grammar usage. I'll try to behave myself on here, though.. )

I like your positive thoughts about the future, Cheetah.. One day when I grow up I want to be conservationist. 8)
There's nothing wrong with dreaming, is there?

So, any interesting weekend plans, anyone? Or is the weather keeping you indoors?

Masters in applied language studies   Excellent to have you on board then! Since I'm sure your skill with words will be appreciated in future travel tales 8) 8) 8)
I agree with you ... dream big!!

Are you an angel or musketeer?

This weekend has been extremely cold!! But last night had a couple of friends over for some beer and wine and a hard chillax here at my place 8) Coffee date with a lass today 8) Now curling up to some Lord of the Rings in bed after watching the rugga!
Well done to the Bulls for finally playing running rugby, and getting the bonus point win :D Where is Meerkitty to account for her fishies

I'm afraid I don't understand..? (Sorry, I'm a bit new to forum-talk.)

It was cold this weekend! Especially Saturday! Curling up in bed? Oh, how I wish I was a full-time student again! In my fourth year I didn't have any classes on Mondays or Fridays, so having to work for five full days in a row is killing me a little each day.. :wall:

But luckily I soon have a salary 8) and a long(ish) Kruger trip to look forward to! :D

Welcome Hippo, seeing you are a linguist.... sawubona (sorry if it is spelled wrong! ) - for the others that is hello in Zulu. :D

What Cheetah is asking is: are you a male or female.

Don't worry it took me also a while to figure out all the forum-slang out too. :D

But in that case, I'm an angel. :)

Salaries are cool, but eish sitting in an office behind a computer for 8 hours a day is not so lekker, leave is always cool!! :D and then you have money to spend on your leave too. :D Oh the ironies of life.
